Warm wishes...

What a weekend!! I had my classes on Saturday 'Tart and Tangy' and 'Sense of time'. We were only a few but it was a great day. There wll be some pictures, once I work out how to get them off my phone!!! Can you believe I forgot my camera!!!!
Anyway, this card uses the flower from Live Your Dreams. I used the Stampin' write markers Mellow Moss and Bravo Burgandy. I then used the same colour cardstock for the mounting/card onto a Very Vanilla base. I used the cutter kit to distress the edges of the card, giving a really nice look.
I then stamped the greeting in Bravo Burgandy and attached it using linen thread.
I was really pleased with it, but that may be something to do with the fact that I love this colour combination!!
Thanks for popping by.

Here again...

Well this another of the cards I made for my friend at school!! And I have a confession that I actually pulled out some of my very lonely and forgotten retired sets!!!!! This card used the stems from Roses in Winter, which is still available to order while stocks last.
It was based around a card I saw browsing the wonderful internet/blogging world, so have no idea exactly who did the original, but it was beautiful and I have to say I love my version too (blow my own trumpet!!)
The design papers I used were Tea and Crumpets, and then Pretty in Pink, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla. I used the Boho Blossom punch for the smaller flowers, having punched them out in all the colours, and the 5-petal flower punch, and layered two together. I added brads from the Hodgepodge to the centre of them all.
I stamped the greeting and the stems in Always Artichoke, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the position of them perfect!
Thanks for dropping by, see you tomorrow!!

Challenge #4...

Okay challenge #4 done for over on our team challenge blog here
In fact I ended up doing a set of 3!!!! They use the For Father set of stamps and the sanded background stamp. This background is one of the stamps you could choose for hostessing a workshop in your home during July, just ask me about it and get your date booked, who wouldn't want more free stamps from Stampin Up! It is in addition to the all the normal hostess benefits, so don't miss your chance.
The colours are Very Vanilla, Creamy Caramel (a current favourite of mine!) and Handsome Hunter. I stamped using the Basic Gray ink and then water coloured with the Stampin' write markers.
Each one also has a peice of the Twill tape. This comes in a pack of three sizes and I have used one for each of the cards. There are also faux brads, which I made using the Handsome Hunter card and the 1/4" circle punch. They fit the glue dots perfectly and look just like brads and of course are the perfect colour match!!
Thanks for stopping by again, at least it isn't 2 am today!!!

Is it Tuesday or Wednesday???

The reason I ask this question is that I am writing this at nearly two o clock in the morning!!!! Where did Tuesday go?????
Onto the card anyway, this is one of some I am making for another of the mums at school. It uses the Season of Joy set, but not for Christmas. I have used Rose Red and Pretty in Pink on a Whisper White base. A simple card that looks lovely and very feminine. I hope she likes it!
See you later :)

Finally...

Hi ladies and any gentlemen!! Huge apologies for the lack of presence lately, but been a funny few weeks, and blogging just not happened.
Here is a set of cards I have made though. I have kept to a really simple sketch and then teamed that wioth a set of Stampin' Up! designer series papers, Junior Varsity. This has then chosen the colour themes for me. I have used the stamp set Wonderful Words, giving me a set of four lovely cards for a wide choice of occasions. The colours I have used are Rose red, Old olive, Tempting turquoise and So saffron.
I was really pleased with how nicely and easily the set came together.
I will be back tomorrow (at some point!), so see you then and thank you again for still popping by.

Challenge #3...

This is the card I have made for the Inspiring Inkin' challenge #3 here. I had an an idea in my head and I'm not sure I actually like this fully as it isn't quite what I imagined it would be, but it's not awful.
The challenge was to use basic black and whisper white plus one colour from the bold bright family. I chose Brilliant Blue, for no reason other than I quite like it!
The added twist was to use your favourite stamp set... now this was where I was naughty, as I don't have a favourite set!! There are so many that I enjoy using, I really couldn't pick one out. So I decided to use my rub-ons. I used the Cherished Memories from page 77 of the idea book and catalogue. These suited perfectly as there is a sheet of black and white in the one pack; perfect!
The brilliant blue I have then used more as an accent.
The great thing about rub-ons is they are quick, clean and simple to use. I cut the images for the front and then jiggled them about to give the coverage I wanted. The white dots were doodled on using the white gel pen (p67 of catalogue) and also the Brilliant Blue stampin marker. An idea inspired by Amy's card of the same challenge and the dots of the rub-ons themselves.
The sketch was based on another blog I follow, mojo Monday, and the sketch here
Thanks for popping by and see you soon.

For you...

This is a card I have made using the 'poppin' pastels' technique. I have used the Fresh Cuts stamp set, and the colours Sage Shadow and Pretty in Pink, with Close to Cocoa and Whisper White.
I stamped the main card with the two images in the two colours. The main image is then stamped in Versamark, and then using the pastels and cotton buds, I coloured the image by dabbing the pastels onto the versamark. This gives a lovely delicate image.
The greeting is in Close to Cocoa and then mounted using the large oval and scallop oval punches. The ribbon is Pretty in Pink tafetta.
